We are to the end of March. Here in Southeastern Pennsylvania it has been colder than normal. This is our first spring here, so I was hoping that I would find something coming up and I ha ve. Not sure what flower this is but it should be blooming any day now.
Yesterday I made a trip to Sheepman Supply in Maryland. It is about a 30-40 minute drive. I needed medicines for the sheep. While there I was able to pick up a Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival T-Shirt. This year the artwork was done by Ida Faraghan of Cinnaminson, NJ. Cinnaminson, NJ.
We have entered five sheep at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival Two yearlings and 3 lambs will be making the trip down to compete. Our daughter Colleen will be showing them all, fitting, taking care of sheep, I usually fit the sheep and organize the trip, and Tim will be our shipper and all around help. Here are some pictures from previous shows.
All the sheep are out in the field full time now except for four of the lambs who are all being bottled fed. We actually got a feeding bucket, which I would recommend, it just makes more sense. They eat when they are hungry, just like they would if they were with their mom.

Until next time, hang in there!
